Our Mission

The Wonder Lab began as a student-led initiative to make STEM research more accessible and engaging for younger students in the community. We wanted to create a space where students can explore scientific thinking beyond the classroom.

What started off as small outreach workshops has grown into a broader effort to connect education, research, and mentorship.

Aditi Srikanth
President/Director

Aditi has been interested in science since elementary school, with a growing focus on microbiology and antibiotic resistance. She developed these interests through conducting science research projects and working at local hospitals throughout high school. Outside of school, Aditi enjoys performing in her high school choir and testing out culinary creations at home (with a medium level of success). Aditi founded The Wonder Lab to contribute to scientific outreach, education, and the accessibility of research for middle and high schoolers.

Darien Kawai
Treasurer

Darien has long-dabbled in the sciences since childhood - when she was in kindergarten, she said she wanted to be a scientist when she grew up! Messy elementary slime concoctions and late nights spent in the kitchen have reflected science as an outlet of creativity and leisure for her. Now, she has honed her focus on health science: nutrition, gastronomy, and physical fitness. In the future, she hopes to take those interests and promote public wellness to the larger community.

Presleigh Dietz
Outreach Officer

Presleigh has always been curious, but only recently focused on science. Since elementary school, she would get in trouble for doodling on her assignments. Now, she combines her passion for art and interest in environmental science to find creative solutions. Presleigh enjoys learning, reading, and drawing. She pursues her interests by participating in Envirothon, art competitions, designing landscapes, and exploring new mediums.

Neha's passion for computer science extends beyond the classroom. Having participated in numerous college courses and programs centered around AI, website development, and coding, she aspires to integrate both the numerical, data-driven aspects of computational analytics and the fields of science, mathematics, and technology. In her free time, Neha enjoys playing violin and practicing traditional Carnatic music and dance.
